Looking for a production company in Brazil?

As a member of BRAVI, Brazil’s Association of Independent Production Companies, Story Productions are plugged in to the latest co-production initiatives. Brazil has bilateral agreements with a number of countries around the world, and there are government funds available for co-productions (read more on the ANCINE website), although organising funding and distribution require a lead time of 8 months or more.


It’s not just about access to funding, though: we enjoy the creative process of working with other producers, bringing our own or our partner’s ideas to the screen. Our first official co-production is Neo-Chamanisme, a a documentary directed by Isabelle Gendre, broadcast on Ushuaia TV and the festival circuit in 2017.


We are looking for co-production partners to work with us on a slate of exciting projects.

TRAVELING TO BRAZIL WITH FILM EQUIPMENT

As of January 1 2022, the rules have changed and the ATA Carnet is no longer accepted in Brazil. Therefore, when an international crew plans to bring filming and sound recording equipment into the country, they now need to complete the e-DBV, an “Electronic Declaration of Traveller’s Goods”. Story Productions is a Brazilian production company, registered with ANCINE, and has a long history of working with international production companies from around the world, helping them to meet all of the ANCINE requirements and get their production in Brazil off the ground.
